My son just turned 17 months old as we approach Summer 2026. He is at the age where he’s starting to explore the world and experience new things. He walks, wants to do everything himself, and is constantly learning something new. His dad and I recently took him on his first trip to the zoo, and we all loved it.
I want to give my son an awesome summer experience, so I started “Asher’s Summer Fun List” – A list for his dad and me to use as we go make memories and experiences with him.
“Asher’s Summer Fun List”
- Take him on his first boat ride
- First “swim” in a big pool
- Show him lightning bugs
- Eat smores at a bonfire ✅
- Play in a splash pad ✅
- Go to the zoo ✅
- Play in the rain
- Finger paint
- Play with sidewalk chalk
- Go to the children’s museum
- Introduce him to popsicles ✅
- Play with a water table ✅
- Eat ice cream ✅
- Play in the mud
- Watch fireworks
- Take him to a toddler music class
- Go to a Petting zoo
- Pet store fish tank visit
- Watch construction equipment ✅
- Attend a fair/rodeo
- Puddle stomp
- Watch a train go by
- See a parade ✅
- Go to a baseball game
But it’s not about completing everything on the list or checking things off.
He won’t remember every single thing we do, but he’ll remember how it felt.
It’s about his dad and I wanting to show him the world through experiences, connection, and the magic of summer.
The warm nights, the laughter, the slow, intentional nature of it all.
This is the summer I wish for you, my sweet boy.
With warmth, wonder, and meaning – The No Bull Mommy
